Role Title:
Vice President of the Youth Ambassadors – (Volunteer Role) You MUST be aged 16-20 years old to apply for this volunteer role.

Hours:
Minimum 8 hours per month (includes attending monthly meetings, held in the evening or on weekends)

Timeframe:
Minimum 12 months (more if you can commit)

We are looking for a Volunteer for the role of Vice President of the Youth Ambassadors (our young people trustee board).

Urban Youth is a youth-led charity based in Tower Hamlets in East London. We provide the best possible youth services to young people aged 9 to 21 years old, who live, work or study in London.

We pride ourselves on providing positive activities, training and support to young people and aim to help improve their physical, mental, emotional, social and educational well-being.

We are looking for a fantastic, creative, dynamic, fun, energetic and well balanced person to volunteer with us at Urban Youth.

You Must:
• Be a good communicator in both written and spoken English;
• Have an ability to engage with all young people and adults on different levels;
• Be committed to the role, young people, the team and urban youth;
• Have an interest in young people’s well being and personal development.

Duties Include:
1. To assist the President of the Youth Ambassadors in her role to engage with all young people accessing Urban Youth services, as well as those who are not. This includes deputising for the President in her absence.

2.To ensure that young people have a key voice and take ownership of Urban Youth, including making and voting on key areas.

3. To represent Urban Youth both internally and externally at meetings and events and to show case the positive role of young people.

4. To support Urban Youth by attending Ambassador meetings, trustee meetings and other key activities including interviewing volunteers.
