Live in or live out childcare needed for my daughters, Lucy (9) and Beth (12). Beth has special needs, including a diagnosis of autism. She needs a little extra help than regular kids but she is a very loving, quite verbal and active girl who likes swimming, music and cycling. Lucy is an out-going, funny, regular little monkey. We’re a laid back family living next to Broadway Market and London Fields.

We are looking for a completely reliable, experienced child carer to work the following core hours in school term (with overtime by mutual agreement):

If living-out hours would be:

Mon: 8-9 am
Tues: 8-9am and 3.30-4pm
Wed: 8-9am and 3.30-8pm
Thurs: 8-9am and 3.30-4pm
Fri: 8-9 am and 3.30-9pm

If living-in hours would be:

Mon: 8-9 am
Tues: 8-9am and 3.30-4pm
Wed: 8-9am and 3.30-9pm
Thurs: 8-9am and 3.30-4pm
Fri: 8-9 am and 3.30-9pm
(Plus one hour per day light house work.)

In school holidays we would want the child-carer to work for full days amounting to approximately similar hours per week as above. These days would be mutually agreed in advance.

We’re looking for someone who is capable, practical, fun, musical, energetic, patient and can walk the line between being responsible, yet relaxed. The right person for the job will have experience of working with children generally and people with special needs, be a fluent English speaker, hold a full UK driving license, be able to cook healthy food and will like dogs (we have a friendly black Labrador).Live-out applicants must live locally (eg: Hackney, Islington or Tower Hamlets).

In addition because the children’s father works away from London on weekdays there may be occasion where the child minder is needed to be responsible for the children over night when their Mum is also away for work. This would mean even live-out applicants would need to be willing to spend occasional nights at the house.

In return, we offer accommodation and food for a live in applicant plus £200 per week pay. For a live out applicant we offer £13 per hour. We also would give four weeks paid holiday per year.
